Host Holly G and Rich B take the show on the road to one of the title sponsors for The Golf Insiders, Fields BMW in Winter Park, Fla. Holly shares her golf experiences in Jamaica playing some of the great courses in Montego Bay. Next Wednesday 12/21/11 The Golf Insiders returns to Fields BMW for their annual Holiday Bash from 5-8 p.m. that benefits the New Hope For Kids Charity. The Bash is co-hosted by Florida Golf Central Magazine. Bob Harig, ESPN.com, calls in to talk to the team about Luke Donald being named PGA TOUR Player of the Year today Dec. 13. Donald is currently No. 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking and finished fourth in the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup events.He is also The Race To Dubai champion on the European Tour. Harig also talks to The Golf Insiders about Keegan Bradley being named Rookie of The Year on the PGA Tour today. Bradley won twice on the PGA Tour this season including the HP Byron Nelson Championship and the PGA Championship. He became the first player to win a major championship in his first major start since Ben Curtis did it in 2003. The team also talks with Bob about Dan Jenkins to be inducted into The World Golf Hall of Fame & Museum as part of the Class of 2012. The 82-year-old writer was selected through the Lifetime Achievement Category. Jeff Shain, Orlando Sentinel, calls in to talk about The Shark Shootout and the success of Luke Donald. Jeff also talks about Hollis Stacy being selected to the World Golf Hall of Fame. She won 3 consecutive U.S. Girls’ Junior Championships and 3 U.S. Women’s Open Championships. The ceremony is set for May 2012. Jeff also recounts some of his favorite memories from the year on the PGA Tour in 2011. It's FedEx Cup Playoffs and Holly G and Jay Golden, PGA Professional and teacher at Winter Park Pines, are in the studio bringing you the inside scoop for the Deutsche Bank Championship. Bob Harig, ESPN.com, calls in to talk FedExCup playoffs and Webb Simpson's second win in three weeks, this time outlasting Chez Reavie in a playoff at the Deutsche Bank Championship. Luke Donald finished tied for third. He is currently in the PGA money title and the FedExCup on the PGA Tour as well as the Race to Dubai on the European Tour. Bob and the team talks about the belly putter and long putters and the advantages and disadvantages. Holly G interviews LPGA Tour Commissioner Mike Whan about the state of the LPGA, the schedule and the CME Titleholders tournament that will be in Orlando in November. The tourney brings the winners of all the season's 25 events together to celebrate the sponsors of each of the season's tournaments. The Solheim Cup approaches and the commissioner talks about the great match ups between the Americans and the European teams. Mike talks about his boys and how they are involved in sports. He and his boys plays 9 holes on Sundays as much as he can and his life in Central Florida. Holly talks to Rob O Loughlin, Laser Link golf about the challenge of making golf faster, more fun, and other things to help bring people into the game. Bigger holes for the golf ball, the new Tee It Forward program as well as Jack Nicklaus and 12-hole golf tournaments. He feels that it would take less time and keep kids and adults more interested in a game that could fit into their schedules and keep their attention spans. The Golden Bear is taking the idea a step further, introducing two 12-hole tournaments at Muirfield Village over Labor Day weekend. The makeup of the 12-hole course comprises holes 1, 2, 5 through 13 and 14 on the familiar track.
